A woman who lived a life rich of colour and flavour. A lady who walked with pride and poise, could not be underestimated for her below 5ft height. That little charmer, with such a sweet voice and a hint of wit, she’d have her way whilst winning the hearts of many. Mama Cecy, I’m going to miss your story telling of your many journeys, each with the complete dates and details. I’ll miss coming over for merienda with tsokolate and puto or butter sugar toast (never easy on the butter). I’ll miss you classic music radio station and hearing the “scent of a woman” whenever your phone rings. I miss the delight in your face when I bring over some well-ripened pomelo. You taught us many things but most of all to live simply but enjoy life to the fullest. I love you mama Cecy. I know you’re up there with lolo billy watching over us. Rest in peace and give lolo billy a big hug for us!
